Tara started designing swimwear pieces using real women, instead of models, to perfect her styles and shapes. Her relentless quest soon gained her a reputation as a “fit expert.”

Tara Matthews is a true global soul – born in Delhi to an Indian mother and an English diplomat father. His job with the UN meant she was always travelling and this pattern continues to this day. She has lived in Cameroon, Austria, New York, Bhutan, Cambodia, Los Angeles and London. She spends most of her time on the Mediterranean island of Corsica, her adopted home where she is energised by the rugged landscape and spectacular beaches.

Tara was originally inspired during a trip to Brazil 17 years ago where she was delighted to see the confidence of the woman in their swimwear, whatever their shape, size and age. It set her on a mission to replicate that feeling of confidence in women, concentrating on style, cut and quality fabrics.
