Tara Matthews is the eponymous line of luxury and couture swimwear, designed around the globe and made in Brazil and India.

It all started with Tara's extensive travelling around the globe and her exposure to a multitude of different cultures, from which she draws her inspiration to design.

Realising there was an urgent need for beautiful, handcrafted swimwear that still looked good once wet, Tara Matthews set out to create bikinis and swimsuits for the luxury-savvy yet active woman.

She started by choosing to manufacture her bikini line in Brazil, which led her to use the finest Lycra available as well as traditionally flattering Brazilian lines. Combined with exquisite hand-embellished beading and embroidery from India, it resulted in a revolutionary line of swimwear where beauty, luxury and functionality are never challenged.

The delicate materials, the embroidery and beading are used and crafted in a unique, patented way so the whole garment is strong and resists to summers of fun in the waves.
